Mary Help of Christians Catholic School has an opening for a full-
time Kitchen Cook for 2023-2024 school year. This professional cook will prepare food in the Kitchen/Cafeteria following the exact guidelines of the Cafeteria Supervisor. The obligations of this individual consist in helping the Cook with his/her daily tasks. The candidate will perform a key role in contributing to the satisfaction of our students, teachers, faculty and be expected to work as a team in the kitchen duties, including lifting more than 20lbs. The full-time Cook performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Mary Help of Christians and the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Functions and Responsibilities include:
 Organizing and provisioning stations with all necessary products.
 Preparing food for service, e.g., cutting vegetables, frying, serving
 Cook menu products in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
 Follow, inform, and reply to instructions from the Cafeteria Supervisor.
 Clean station and handle remaining food items.
 Knowledge and awareness of safety and cleanliness in food production, and of
the importance of temperature control in food services.
 Keep a positive and professional focus with team members and guests.
Qualifications:
 Prior experience in the kitchen, including as a line cook, restaurant cook, or
kitchen helper.
 Knowledge and ability to use or operate kitchen equipment as required (e.g.,
steam cooker, deep fryer, knife and other kitchen utensils).
 Precision and speed to execute assigned tasks.
 Familiarity with best industry practices.
 Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic
Church.
 Ability to speak English, read, and follow written or oral directions.
 Must have a professional demeanor.
