We are blessed and honored to welcome you as a valued member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic School. We believe each member of the Mary Help of Christians community has a duty to nurture the Gospel values of honesty, sincerity, responsibility, loyalty, cooperation, and respect for authority. These values will enable our students to develop their self- esteem, make mature and moral decisions, and become responsible, contributing citizens.
We seek to achieve these objectives through an ongoing cooperative relationship with the parents, teachers, and through the curriculum – all rooted in the Roman Catholic Church and its principles.
The primary goal of Mary Help of Christians Catholic School is to develop the Catholic faith of its students. As such, our program is also designed to assist parents in the religious formation of their children.
It is the parent’s responsibility to set an example in the home by attending Mass and celebrating the Eucharist on Sundays and Holy Days. Parents are reminded to provide the opportunity and encourage the receiving of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Parents are also reminded to take an active, meaningful part in their child’s spiritual growth through daily prayer and other spiritual activities to foster the development of our Catholic faith.
Prayer is an integral part of the school day. Students receive daily religious instruction, and School Mass is celebrated weekly on Fridays and on important Feast and Holy Days.
Throughout the school year, students participate in various community service projects in keeping with the mission and philosophy of the school. The service projects integrate Catholic social teaching and addresses community needs through meaningful and reflective service.
